Teresa Dixion - Biomechanics Coach

Teresa Dixon
Let me share with you my journey so far:
It began in 1994 when I completed my HND in sports science. The sports injury and coaching elements of my course inspired me. I knew I wanted to help to people reduce pain and achieve their full potential.

This led me to my first job at Lincoln County hospital where I worked as a physiotherapy assistant for a couple of years
This set the ball rolling, I went back to study Fitness Training and Sport Therapy and later Pilates and it's where my love of "helping people help themselves" really exploded.

What I do is make sure your muscles are working properly, not pulling on your joints, discs or even other muscles, which means you can move freely with complete ease and are pain free.
This also decreases the risk of injury or further injuries, bringing your body back to normal.

I discovered my Biomechanics coaching nearly two years ago now, it really married all my qualifications together, as I had always felt there was a missing link and this is it!

Whether you want a sports massage, personal training, Pilates, core work (strengthening your abs), or are returning to exercise after back pain, biomechanics is the very first thing you need to do for all of these.

With a biomechanics assessment, I check HOW your body is working.
Once I have found this out, I'll work on the muscles that are weak or tight by massaging them and then I'll carefully prescribe you a series of exercises that you can do at home, that will complement the treatment I do.
This will help maintain the effect of the treatment and help you take control of your back problems, rather than feeling as though you have to rely on me.
This is where I "help people to help themselves"

I have found through many experiences, that this is the very best combination of all my skills and provides the very best results for my clients.

By addressing any biomechanical issues straight away, means the correct programme designed for you, whether it's at the gym, or personal training or Pilates (core work).
